A wonderful neighbour and such a kind, thoughtful man. I’ve missed Mel since moving northwards. We had so many lovely chats across the garden fence, both when Heather was alive and after she passed, sharing news of family, children and grandchildren. He helped me with so many things in the house and I learnt how persistent he could be when my security light wouldn’t work and he refused to be defeated by it! I miss him and am so sad he has passed but the memory of him will always be there.

We have been friends of Mel and Heather since the mid 1980s they were wonderful friends. We miss them dearly. Max and VALERIE

Missing you dad - I’ve been looking for photos and I realised you were always the one taking the photos - I think I will have to get better at keeping memories and following you example I know you are with mum now and you are happy - love yiu so much

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are. Speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
